Elsebeth Paikin

The recent posting on reminder for Call For Papers contained
some errors in the allotted number of words for biographies
and abstracts. We have extended the submission date from
December 15 to December 31, 2006! We apologize for any
inconvenience that our error caused you.
Thank you.

Please respond with any questions to
Carole Montello, chairperson of the 2007 Program committee at
program@slc2007.org

The 27th Annual Conference on Jewish Genealogy is soliciting
papers to be presented at the conference >from July 15-20, 2007.
While the programming of the lectures/workshops is proceeding
at a fast clip, we have open lecture slots.

We will be happy to consider proposals until December 31, 2006.
To be considered you must submit a 125-word biography and a
125-word abstract on the Call For Papers located at
www.slc2007.org.

The program committee will advise you of our decision by February
1, 2007.

We are looking for topics of wide interest, topics that are new
and/or unique, and in areas of interest not covered by other
speakers.

Primary consideration will be to those programs not presented
at the last 3 conferences.

Our preference is for speakers who have done extensive on-line or
in person research in the following areas: Eastern Europe, South
America, & Israel.

Other areas of interest that will be considered are Emigration &/or
Immigration records, specifically >from Hamburg, Bremen, Rotterdam and
Liverpool. Methodology and little used or little known resources will
also be considered for presentation at the conference.

If you have any questions as to subject matter of your presentation
please contact
Carole Montello at
