I am looking for anyone that can help with the following. My
mother's family name is GOLDBERG.

I can confirm >from the 1870 Rzeszow Census there was a Chiel
GOLDBERG born in 1832 in Kolbuszowa and his wife Chaya (nee
WASSE) was born in 1839 in Rzeszow. Nothing is known of either
of their childhood. They got married in approx 1857 (their
civil marriage was dated as married in Rzeszow in 1881) and
they lived in Rzeszow province of Poland, where they had 5
children.

In the 1870 Rzesznow census, the Goldbergs were living in
Building 55, Apartment 9 (Street Unknown). In 1890, they had
moved to Building 57, Apartment 3 (Street Unknown). Chaya died

from pneumonia on 25th July 1888 (aged 49). >from searching

through all the records found we have the following

2) Mirl Emilia Miriam GOLDBERG (married name was ASTEL) born on
30/01/1870 in Rzeszow, Poland and married to Moshe ASTEL on
13/01/1940

3) Lazer (Luzer) GOLDBERG born on 03/07/1878 in Rzeszow, Poland
married to Hinde BLOCH

4) Rachel born in 1858 Rzeszow, Poland
