Are there only copies in New York? Or are there also copies in Los Angeles?
$11,000 is a lot of money, but maybe there are some reels more important than
others. I can contribute $100 if that is meaningful. My ancestors were
mostly in Mogilev and Odessa, but one never knows. I took a stab at the
Odessa archives without anything to go on and found two of my dad's brothers
had moved there and had children born there and I MAY have real live living
cousins there now.
Why not also in Kiev?

MODERATOR'S NOTE: Since Harvard also has copies, they probably exist elsewhere as well. It will be checked out.
