I am trying to determine for 5 different towns which Uzeyd (District)
they belonged to within the Podolia Guberniya. I have researched all
Ukraine-SIG databases and projects and can't find anything. I have been
unable to find any maps that show the boundaries of the Uzeyds within
Podolia in the late 1800's or early 1900's. If anyone can tell me the
correct Uzeyd for these towns or a source that shows the Uzeyd
boundaries I would appreciate it. All of the towns are currently in the
Transnistria area of Moldova (along the Dneister River) but were in the
Ukraine and Podolia guberniya for most of the 19th century and early
20th century. The towns are Frunzauca (Frunzovka), Camenca (Kamenka),
Rashkov, Ribnita (Ribnitsy) and Ofatinti (Vykhvatintsy).
I hope the following will help you:
The town of Frunzovka has coordinates of 49 degrees 21'55.15"N, 33 degrees
Perhaps if you put the coordinates in for at least this one town, it may
help you to find the Uzeyds you are looking for.
