According to Where Once We Walked, Sernick is now Serniki Pervyye, Ukr.
Prewar Jewish pop. of 987. 133 km N of Rivne at 51o49'/26o14'.

I can't find a Wichevke or obvious equivalent in WOWW.

Subject: [ukraine] More memorials and surname lists

Greetings all,
I would first like to thank the few >from this list who sent me their
English translations of the Hebrew/Yiddish names inscribed on the New
Jersey Pinsker Holocaust memorial. It was so very nice of you to do this.
I have now added this list to the Pinsker memorial page.

I have also added a page for a Sernick/Wichevke, Ukraine memorial that
stands at Montefiore Cemetery in Springfield Gardens, New York. Would
someone please tell me what the current names are for these two towns? I
assume that they both still in the Ukraine. Also, this memorial has three
sides that list in a horizontal fashion many, many names of those who are
memorialized. This is too much for me to translate to English, so perhaps
someone again might like to undertake this task. I do have photos of the
inscriptions that are perhaps a bit larger, if the names on the photos
currently online are too small to decipher. The link to the main Holocaust
memorial page is www.museumoffamilyhistory.com/hm-main.htm .

I have also started unique surname lists for some Kiev and Odessa burial
plots in New York and New Jersey. I know that there are a good number of
you who are researchers of these cities. The Kiev list is a small one, and
has been formed >from only one small society plot. The Odessa list is >from
three society plots (out of nearly three dozen that exist in the New
York-New Jersey metro area!).
