Nathan Sturman

Hi,
Two items of mine are now available on the viewmate, numbers
VM8043 and VM 8044. They are an envelope >from my grandfather
Nathan STURMAN's landsman's association, a Vinnitsa group, I am
told, in Philadelphia addressed to his residence of the time
(1914) and the other is a STURMAN family portrait taken around
1923 after the family moved to their long term residence at 512
Dickenson St. Nathan (Nussen) Paultiel Sturman is my
grandfather.
His father's name in turn was Yitzhak Halevi-Sturman, of
Teplyk/Teplic, Podolia, Vinnitsa, with relations in or near
Uman, Kiev, perhaps main body of the family, which had a beef
cattle ranch according to family lore. Nathan was an associate
of Bernard S Pincus in Philadelphia and had a meat distribution
business on Dock St called Nathan Sturman and Son, then Nathan
Sturman's Sons after his passing in 1943.
Maybe somebody will find the items of interest or use in
indentification etc.
