If I recall correctly, in Mel Brooks' hilarious film version of
Ilf and Petrov's novel "The Twelve Chairs", you can see a
Russian (anyway, Slavic) paddlewheel steamer utilized as a
floating Shakespeare theatre at some Crimean resort. I believe
they were offering "Hamlet and the October Revolution". It was
filmed in Yugoslavia I believe, and the steamer almost certainly
is a local product, c1967.
