The 27th Annual Conference on Jewish Genealogy is soliciting papers to
be presented at the conference >from July 15-20, 2007. While the
programming of the lectures/workshops is proceeding at a fast clip, we
have open lecture slots.
We will be happy to consider proposals until December 31, 2007. To be
considered you must submit a 50-word biography and a 100-word synopsis
to www.slc2007.org. The program committee will advise you of our
decision by February 28, 2007.
We are looking for topics of wide interest, topics that are new and/or
unique, and in areas of interest not covered by other speakers.
Primary consideration will be to those programs not presented at the
last 3 conferences.
Our preference is for speakers who have done extensive on-line or in
person research in the following areas: Eastern Europe, South America,
Other areas of interest that will be considered are Emigration &/or
Immigration records, specifically >from Hamburg, Bremen, Rotterdam and
Liverpool. Methodology and little used or little known resources will
also be considered for presentation at the conference.
If you have any questions as to subject matter of your presentation
please contact Carole Montello at program@....
