Anyone researching KOPELSON have any matches?

Family believes they emigrated >from Kiev to USA; have just begun
researching and no confirmation as yet.

Censuses indicate couple married in 1878, then emigrated to New York
City in 1882/1883. Son's passport application in 1920 says parents
emigrated May 1884, >from Hamburg.

Couple had 3 children, all born in New York; 1900 census indicates
3 other children who did not survive.
