Ukraine SIG #Ukraine Trying to find Povlotsky family #ukraine

Hello Genners:

I have hit the proverbial brick wall. My grandmother was a Povlotsky and I have 3 "missing" relatives.

I found a ship manifest for Heschie Pawlocky (Povlotsky) coming to Philadelphia, PA in 1902 accompanied by his wife Mariam R.
and daughter Etel who was 9 months old. Heschie was the son of Abraham and Rose my gggrandparents and the brother of my great grandfather Louis Haas (ne Joel Povlotsky) as well as Arthur, Ida (Chaya) and Chaje. I have not been able to find out what happened to Heshie, Mariam or Etel other than their ship manifest and the Rosenbaum bank records.

On the 1910 census I came across an Arthur Povlotsky, age 21 living with his parents Abraham and Rose Povlotsky inPhiladelphia. The surname was misspelled on the census as Fobolotzsky but I know they were the right people as they were also living in the home of Shoil and Anna Brown on Dudley St. Anna was Abraham's daughter. This is the only mention I can find for Arthur Povlotsky (obviously Arthur was his adopted name). I have searched the Philadelphia archives and the census and there is no other mention of Arthur. I have not been able to find him on any ship manifest as he did not immigrate with either of his parents.

Does anyone have knowledge of these people or their descendents? I was not able to find any death records for any of them nor birth and marriage records. I cannot find Heshie and family on any census in any state and Arthur is only on the 1910 census. It is possible that Heshie and Mariam had more children, that Etel and Arthur married and had children. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.
Some of my family members changed the surname to Povlot or Paul. My great grandfather changed his surname to Haas.

Thank you,
Meryl Rizzotti
