My family has its roots in the town of Bila Tserkva, about 50 miles
outside of Kiev and less than 20 miles >from the town of Skvare, which
I know to be a large group of Chassidim. I am wondering if anyone
knows were the Jews of Bila Tserkva in the late 1800s and early 1900s
Chassidim? And if so, what type of Chassidim? It makes sense to me
that they might have been Skvare Chassidim given their proximity, or
possibly Chernobler Chassidim as that was a very large group in the
1800s. Any information would be appreciated. Thank you!
