If you are in the New York area, the New York City municipal archives has a database of all the synagogues in 1939 (>from the WPA project), including some that were defunct at that time, with addresses on it. There's a list of all synagogues online, but no addresses are given.

The shul is listed on the Museum of Family history -list of closed
shuls in Bkl'n -- but without a name.Does anyone know the name of the
