I'm wondering how my GF Hyman Sandler came by his surname. His NY death record lists his father as Moshe Wolf and his mother as Gishe Davidovitch. Hyman's immigration papers show him as entering NY in 1913 as Chaim Sandler >from Russia. I believe he was >from Zhytomyr (now Ukraine).
