I don't know if you have seen either of these, but (1) here is a list of
resources for Warwickshire, which is the county that Birmingham would =
have
been in at the end of the 19th century: =20
http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/eng/WAR/

And (2) attached is a 1891 census record that I was able to find (seems =
to
be Sam and Leah's young family) at=20
http://freecen.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl

Happy hunting!

Subject: [warszawa] Samuel Levi/Levy

Hello,

I have recently discovered that my grtgrt grandfather Samuel Levi/Levy =
was=20
born in Warsaw in about 1855. His Hebrew name was Shraga, so he may =
have
gone=20
by that name in Poland. He was a boot finisher. I don't know if he left =

Poland with family or on his own. I'm still researching that.Sometime =
prior
to=20
1878 he migrated to Birmingham UK, where he married Leah Caro.

I am relatively new to genealogy. Does anyone have any =
suggestions/leads I=20
could follow for trying to find my grtgrt grandfather?

Thanks in advance.
