I just joined the Warsawa Research Group Mailing List. .
My father, the oldest of ten children, was born in February 1896. His
parents had a grocery store in Warsawa. He and the next brother may
have been born in Drohiczyn nad Bugiem, his mother's stetl. It appears
that there are no records available for Drohiczyn. My grandfather was
born in Sarnaki and LDS has records >from there. I was able to trace the
family back to Karczew and back to my great great grandmother who was
born in Warsawa in 1827!
I believe that the remainder of my father's siblings were born in
Warsawa. In addition, some of them died in Warsawa in the 1920s or
so. I have some addresses in Warsawa for as late as 1928. (My father
came to the US in 1919). I have no records whatsoever >from Warsawa and
would like to locate records for either my father or any of his
siblings. They all had incorrect birth dates on their US documents.
Are there any vital records available for this time period? If so, how
do I obtain them?
