The New York Public Library is happy to obtain a new electronic database,
"Entertainment Industry Magazine Archive." These contain scans (in color, >from
what I've seen) of many periodicals significant to the entertainment industry.
As a coworker of mine expressed, "it would be worth it to get it just for its
holdings of Variety." Nothing specifically Yiddish, but then there was plenty
of crossover and I'm sure Yiddish actors would appear in Variety or some of the
other earlier periodicals.

This is a ProQuest database, so there are undoubtly other (large) institutions
that have also purchased a license to use this. My initial reaction is that
it's amazing. Here's what it contains:
