I was very excited, like many of you, to learn that former JewishGen Vice
President, Joyce Field, last week won the Lifetime Achievement award >from
the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies Conference in
Philadelphia. For me, this was certainly a matter of "it's about time" since
she was so deserving of this notable award. She dedicated so many years, so
much time, initiative and thought into the JewishGen site and her hallmarks
are there at every corner - in the Yizkor Book project in the JOWBR and much
more.

I send out my own "kol hakavod" and "mazal tov" to Joyce and thank her on
behalf of all those who continue to enjoy the fruits of her labor.
