Both FamilySearch and Ancestry have catalogs that allow users to view new and updated collections. This feature only includes official updates and does not reflect if a user has edited/amended a record.

Ancestry.com "Card Catalog": https://www.ancestry.com/search/collections/catalog/?sort=date-updated

For both of the above catalogs, you can sort by date added/updated to view additions/changes.

FamilySearch has a watch feature that can alert you when another user contributes to one of your watched records. The FAQ for this feature is below:
