Check your local library for temporary remote access to Ancestry.com, etc.
The link to Ancestry on my neighborhood library’s website still says “this resource is only available through library computers for in-library use and cannot be accessed from home.” Even so, I clicked through and gained full access to the library’s Ancestry account.
