My mother's Brown family of Edinburgh and Manchester took in three Kindertransport children during the war. They all came from Dessau near Berlin. I wrote about them in 2018 for Shemot, the Journal of the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain. Unfortunately, the last surviving one of these died in Oregon on Xmas Eve, but he left his memoirs for editing by some friends.

You may also be interested in the book "The Forgotten Kindertransportees, the Scottish Experience" by Frances Williams published by Bloomsbury in 2014. This is about a significant number of children who were all put into a residential farm school near Edinburgh, with the intention of them working on the land in the future, even though they all came from  middle class professional homes.
