JewishGen Emergency Campaign
Dear Friends,I hope you and your families are doing well.As we continue to persevere in the face of COVID-19, JewishGen's staff and volunteers are hard at work trying to obtain information and make it available to you as quickly as possible. Just last week, approximately 120k new records were added to the burial registry -- and there are a number of new additions and updates which will be announced shortly.Ordinarily during this time, JewishGen would be engaged in its annual Spring Appeal, which raises critically needed funds to support its operations and essential services. But because of the current situation, we cannot engage in a traditional fundraising campaign, which is why I am turning to you today.
JewishGen has embarked on an emergency campaign to raise $50,000 by the end of the month. I have pledged $10,000 to lead off the campaign, which means we still need to raise $40,000 within the next two days.If you are in a position to do so, please consider making a gift today. Any amount - $18, $36, $50, $100, $250, $500, $1,000 or more - will make an immediate difference, and help JewishGen continue to provide (and expand) the wide array of services it offers to the Jewish community. As a special incentive, and in honor of Israel’s 72nd birthday, all gifts of $72 or more will automatically qualify for a year’s worth of Value Added Services, which grant you access to enhanced database search features, and free Basic JewishGen genealogy courses.Right now, please click the link below donate via credit card. Because of COVID-19 and the closure of our administrative office, we request that you please donate online. If you need any help, or would like to donate over the phone, please email support@... and one of our volunteers will call you back.LINK: https://bit.ly/JewishGenEmergencyCampaignThank you in advance for supporting JewishGen's important work - it is such a remarkable organization, and the best is truly yet to come.Randy Schoenberg Board Member & Director of Austria-Czech Research JewishGen.org rschoenberg@... |
