Sephardic Carvahal Family In Eastern Europe #sephardic

I have dna matches with members of the Carvahal family from Iberia, probably Tunis before that.  The original name was Halevi.   After conversion it became Santa Maria and later Carvahal..  Some of the family remained Catholic.   Others fled to Latin America and northern Europe.  One line helped found the Sephardic community  of London. Another line migrated to Italy  and changed the surname to Montefiore.    I have matches with all the lines mentioned on my paternal side..  I don't know how the line got to Eastern Europe.   My paternal line traces back  to Weinstein in Vilna around 1800.
