Well,

In Ukrainian Galicia is known as Halychyna - there is the relation between Halych and Halychyna.
In year 1206 Hungarian king Andrew II, following occupation of The Duchy of Halicia adopted title Rex Galiciae et Lodomeriae. This title was used by other Hungarian kings and Austrian monarchs who inherited Hungarian crown. At the beginning of 14th century the Duchy of Halicia became part of The Kingdom of Poland.
