My great uncle on my mother's side was Sergiu Godeanu (born Goldenzweig in Bucharest, Romania in 1896). I have found only one reference to a Sergiu Godeanu here on JewishGen and nowhere else. I know that he was imprisoned for being a political activist as well as being Jewish, and the reference states that there was a Sergiu Godeanu at Targu Jiu internment camp in the 1940s / 1950s. I do not know why he changed his name. When he was released (date?) he emigrated to Israel and lived in Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv. I do not know when he died. Any more information would be greatly appreciated. Stefan Kurbanowski
