I think there is a typo and you mean 1858. Revision Lists are like our Census Returns and were taken in different years, The Archives have them from 1799 -1858. There are some additional lists up to 1913. The last important one was the 1858.list. Early Revision Lists may not have surnames and were compiled in German. In rare case they are in Russian. Russian became the official state language in 1892. Most lists are from the 8th Revision in 1834. Lists for Jekabpils are incomplete. Complete 1834 lists exist for Jelgava,Liepaja and Tukums. I have details of Archival Holdings in my "Book a Guide to Jewish Genealogy in Latvia and Estonia" which can be downloaded as an Ebook from the JGSGB.org.uk site. It is very cheap and all proceeds go to the Jewish Genealogical Society of Great Britain. https://shop.jgsgb.org.uk/catalog/downloads We also have a list of the Holdings in Archives on our Latvia SIG page where you can see what records they have and what years are missing. https://www.jewishgen.org/Latvia/holdingsatlsha.html Arlene Beare Co-Director Latvia Research Division
