Getting ready for the IAJGS conference in Jerusalem #austria-czech

E. Randol Schoenberg

The conference starts in just one week. http://iajgs2015.org/

Among the lectures and events of interest to our SIG:

July 7 Tuesday 12:30pm Austria-Czech SIG luncheon with guest Oded Breda
from Beit Theresienstadt
July 7 Tuesday 2:00pm Structure of Marriages Registered in the Vienna
Jewish Community 1826-1938 (Wolf-Erich Eckstein)

July 7 Tuesday 3:00pm How to Use Field-Work to Find Family Information:
A Czech Case-Study (David Fligg)

July 8 Wednesday 11:15am The Vienna Jewish Cemetery in Waehring
1784-1879 as a Genealogical Source (Wolf-Erich Eckstein)

Thanks again to Vera Finberg for coordinating the SIG events at the
conference.

I am also giving a lecture July 8 Wednesday at 9:15am on Privacy Issues
with Online Trees.

Additionally, outside the conference I am giving a lecture on the
recovery of the Klimt paintings at the Israel Museum on Tuesday, July 7
at 7pm. Advance tickets are required. http://tinyurl.com/q9q9peh

When not at our events or other lectures, I will probably be manning the
Geni table in the Exhibit Hall, along with all the other volunteer Geni
curators. We have a Geni BOF meeting on July 9 Thursday at 2:00pm. As
you know, Geni is now the best place to build your family tree and
connect to other Austria-Czech family researchers. It is pretty much
impossible for anyone >from our area not to find a connection to everyone
else. If you haven't explored Geni recently, start with

I hope to see everyone in Jerusalem.
