The replies to the e-mail I sent to main@groups on 13 October 2020 have kept me very busy.

It is possible that Ruth Roubitschek, born in 1913 in Dresden, changed her name to Renee Ruby and was able to make her way to Australia some time in the late 1930s. Renee / Ruth may have been smuggled out of Germany or Czechoslovakia as a nun. She may have had a son who went with her to Australia.

I have found Australian Electoral Rolls for various years between 1949 and 1980. These list Fredericka Therese Maria Ruth Raubitschek, designer, living in the year 1980 in 21 Livingstone Ave. Pymble West, New South Wales. The 1968 Electoral Roll also lists Ernest Raubitschek, dentist, living at the same address. Ernest may have been Ruth’s son.

Fredericka Therese Maria may have been tribute names to those who helped her escape. Raubitschek is one of the many variations on the spelling of Roubitschek.

If anyone had information on Ruth and her son, especially in Australia, please let me know.
