Since you mentioned the town to be in current-day Romania,I would not exclude the possiblity of this town to be one of the below towns in the Csik region (old spelling, not the contemporary one).
FYI I have checked the gazetteer of the Kingdom of Hungary in 1892 and these are the only ones to be close enough…
