Today on the Gesher Galicia Map Room we've posted another excellent
map, of the significant Galician town of Tarnobrzeg (near Sandomierz),
from 1853:
https://maps.geshergalicia.org/cadastral/tarnobrzeg-1853/

Clearly lithographed and in full color, the map includes property numbers
for both buildings and parcels. At the time of this survey, the town was
separate >from the important village of Dzikow to the north that it now
includes. Built on the Vistula River at the northern border of Galicia, the
dense town center features a large market square, a Dominican
monastery and church, and a Jewish cemetery.

Acquisition of the map scan images and assembly of this browsable map
were donated to Gesher Galicia by a member and volunteer, so now the
map is available for free access by all.

The original paper map sheets are preserved in the Polish Historical
Archives in Rzeszow:
