One of my polish ancestors would have arrived from Le Havre (France) in New York in 1920, single and 22 years old, to join his brother already established in the USA. But this same person was deported from the Lodz ghetto, with his wife, in 1942-1943.
Do you know if there are any archives of foreigners who left the USA in the years 1920-1926? How do you know if a foreigner stayed in the USA or if he was just passing through?
