My most frustrating brick-wall is my father's father, Chaim Glasner b. 1877 in Nowy Sacz. There are record gaps for N.S. in the 1870s. Nevertheless, I found a Reuben Selig Glasner who was married to Feige Lea Grun. They had a son Chaim who was born in August of 1877. My Chaim's Canadian Naturalization papers says his birthdate was April 1877. My Chaim's matzeyvot says his father's name was Zeev. Is it possible that Selig is Yiddish for Zeev?
