As Alexander Sharon wrote, Pinkas HaKehillot (Encyclopedia of the
Communities) is an excellent source of information about Sokolow
Malopolski and other towns for which no yizkor books were published.
Unfortunately, the two-page article on Sokolow M. has not yet been
translated >from Hebrew to English for JewishGen, but dozens of other
Galician town entries have been. Links to those entries are here:

Eastern Galicia
http://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/pinkas_poland/pinkas_poland2.html

Western Galicia
http://www.jewishgen.org/yizkor/pinkas_poland/pinkas_poland3.html

Another possible source is the USC Shoah Foundation Visual History
Archive (http://vhaonline.usc.edu/login). A search there shows seven
survivors born in Sokolow Malopolski who recorded Holocaust
testimonies and 12 more who mentioned the town in their testimonies.
Len, if you're within reach of one of the libraries that access the videos
-- recorded over 20 years ago by Steven Spielberg's Shoah Foundation
-- you might want to go there and view some of them. Sites with
access to the videos are shown here:
http://sfi.usc.edu/locator/full_access_sites . Be sure to contact the
site before visiting, as they may need lead time to download the
video(s) of interest.
