Dear Richard, The very unusual (for Jews) family name of Dammann was taken on in 1808 by a Jewish family in Bielefeld (Westphalia).  Moreover, there was  Mosheim family in a town or towns a bit further south in Westphalia. e.g., Calman Moses Mosheim in Warburg.  These could be clues.  Best wishes, Bob Weinberg, Brookline MA  weinberg@...
