Thanks to the help of Lance Ackerfeld and Nancy Siegel, there is now a searchable archive of past postings of the weekly excerpts. There is still a gap for a month in 2019 and several months of early 2020, but I am slowly but surely filling those in.

The search function is a little rudimentary, and works for simple searches on a specific key word, like the name of a town or a holiday.
On a PC, you do it with a Ctrl-F. If you are on an iPhone, you can click on this “share” symbol
 in Chrome or Safari and go to “Find on page” in the menu. For Google on Android, the icon is  Bruce Drake
