Apparent Change to Ancestry Messaging #dna

Ralph Baer

As opposed to FT-DNA, Ancestry does not supply e-mail addresses for DNA matches. Instead, one has to use their Messaging system. I suspect that this is based upon privacy concerns.  I have never liked this system because, as far as I know, one can’t include enclosures. Ancestry also does not always inform one of a new message.

About a week ago, I noticed that all carriage returns have been removed from messages which I had sent although not for those which I received. This makes it harder to read some messages. Has anyone else noticed this?
