I am so touched and heartened by the gracious gestures of assistance
extended in response to the recent postings regarding the search for
my BREUER family in Lucenec, Slovakia and want to thank everyone for
their suggestions and for sharing knowledge about their BREUERS.
Given the paucity of available records outside Slovakia, it is there
that I must therefore concentrate my energies initially and hope that
any information gleaned will later lead to wider contact with some of
you. If the moderators permit, I will update researchers on any
positive developments but it will be months, if not years before this
project reaches any firm definition, so bear with me.
The genealogical community worldwide is full of kind researchers
anxious and willing to offer help -- a most reassuring advantage to
one who is undertaking a real research challenge. I would like to
single out Nancy Holden most particularly in keeping the research flag
flying with suggestions and support.
A peripheral benefit has been contact with a previously unknown
descendant of another family branch the SAMEL family of Teplice
and I urge you all to scan the names listed by other Genners because
there may be an amazing potential encounter in the offing for you,
Many thanks to you all and please keep your fingers crossed; I have my
work cut out in furthering this endeavor!
