Searching for Information on Rabbi Samuel Miller of Scranton, Pennsylvania #usa #records

N. Kotz

I am researching my husband's great grandfather, Rabbi Samuel Miller. The few records I have found thus far indicated that he was in Scranton, Pennsylvania around 1883-1093 but I have not been able to find him in the 1900 US Census. I am trying to determine his birth and death dates as well as the name of his wife and any other children besides the following.

What I do know is that he officiated at the wedding of his daughter, Esther, to David Kotz on December 15, 1909, in Wilkes-Barre, PA.  I have a wedding registry record as well as a wedding announcement regarding the marriage.

According to an article from The Tribune of Scranton dated 11 March 1903,  another daughter, Fannie died by suicide. This information is corroborated by the listing of Fannie's death in the Record of Deaths of Scranton PA for March of that year. According to that record, Fannie died at the State Hospital in Scranton.

He may have also had a daughter named Rose.

Thank you all in advance for any assistance you might be able to provide.
