This is just to let you know of a recently published book by Miriam Rodrigues-Pereira, Archivist of the Spanish & Portuguese Jewish Community, on: "RECORDS OF THE RAMSGATE JEWISH COMMUNITY 1829 — 1962". The book is an interesting record of local births and marriages which includes several marriages of residents from the Kitchener Camp at Richborough, near Sandwich as well as details of resident members of the Lady Judith Montefiore College in Ramsgate, some of whom were refugees from middle Europe in the 1930s.
The book is now available online, free of charge, and can be downloaded from the book section of the following website: https://www.eastcliff.co.uk/Books.htm. The book will be of genealogical interest to anyone with roots in the Ramsgate community and complements a book published in 2016 by Benedict Kelly and Gerald Tripp: “The Ramsgate Jewish Cemetery 1872-2016” which can also be purchased from the afore-mentioned website as well as others on Ramsgate’s history.
