The Latvia & Estonia Research Division is happy to announce that our new website is now live at https://latvia.jewishgen.org. The website has been completely redesigned to ensure that researchers have access to the latest information on Latvian archival and other resources. About 80-85% of the website content is new. There is guidance for beginners as well as advanced researchers. Our Research section also provides detailed how-to instructions on navigating the Raduraksti (Latvian State Historical Archives) and FamilySearch websites to find Latvian records. The Holocaust section gives suggestions on how to find ancestors on the Latvian Names project. Our Regions and Towns section will let you know if your town is included in JOWBR, has a yizkor book, and/or has a Kehilalinks page.

This is just a high-level synopsis of the new website. We expect to add Estonian content soon. Please take some time to explore the website and let us know what you think at LatviaRD@....

Don't forget to join us at ourIAJGS conference meeting on Thursday, August 5, at 1:45 PM EDT (10:45 PDT), where we will give you further details.
