What's your maternal haplogroup? The K1a sub-clade is estimated to have originated 19,000 to 22,000 years ago is the most common in Europe. This includes regions of Spain, Catalonia, Portugal, Hungary and Sweden. My maternal line is K1ab1a, which is common among Ashkenazi Jews representing about 19 percent of maternal lineages. What sources state that your family lived in Hertnek, Saros? The JewishGen Hungary Database includes a number of records from there but no RADICZINER, RADETZ, or RADECKY.
