Why were Jews over-represented? I think it was because so many Jewish teens in the late 30's were ham radio hobbyists, and also did well on math tests. They were over-represented in the Air Corps as radio operators and navigators, not necessarily as tail gunners. My own cousin as a teenager was working with Lee DeForest on television in the 30's!
