I looked up the DC on Ancestry.com

Alexander FIXLER was born and passed on Feb. 20, 1910, so he was one day old, not six months.  What it states on the DC is that the foetus was nearly 6 months, meaning that the pregnancy was 6 months duration, and the mother had early labor.

I wouldn't worry about the maiden name being different from what you expect.  The parents were giving the info at a time of extreme stress, and maybe another family member gave the info and gave an incorrect maiden name.
