Happy New Year, I am researching my paternal grandfather and his parents. Harry/Hersz PASTERNAK , born in Kuty 1904 Siblings Reisel Pasternak born Kuty 1906, Scheindel Pasternak born 189 , Ruben Pasternak, b 1913 and Jutta Pasternak born 1919. Parents names may be Ida Reif and Leo Pasternak (from their US death certificates of children) . I can not find any vital records for any of the above in Ukraine etc.
I believe no vital records survived from Kuty but wondering if there are any other next steps I can take. Since Kuty is a border town and was a war zone around 1918- 1920, many left for a time, and parents may have died elsewhere. Would hiring a person on the ground be useful or a fools errand?
