I am connected to Hellmanns from Talsi as well, though through the Blumberg family.  My g-g-grandmother's sister, Frieda Blumberg, d/o Behr Blumberg, married a Lazar Hellmann, and had seven children, at least one born in Talsi.

However, the main reason for my response is that I manage a Talsi website at https://mycourlandtowns.wordpress.com/talsi/.  I welcome guest contributors to the blog, which would be an opportunity for you to share your story, photos or other info.  There is also a lot of information posted on the site.
