The Dutch newspaper NRC of 28 January, see
It states that the author of the "85% certainty" Frank Alkemade [a physicist] refutes that he gave the authors of the Cold Case Team [CCT] article that certainty, and talks of 50-95% certainty, based on his analysis of the data via a Bayesian modelling program, which he frequently uses in court cases. He assumed that the data provided by CCT were correct. But his Bayesian modelling program has been criticised by Ronald Meester, professor of probability studies at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He is backed up by Marjan Sjerps, a statistician at the Nederlands Forensisch Instituut. There has also been criticism from Holocaust experts such as Bart van der Boom.
The CCT will provide a response to this criticism next week...!
