Michele. My ancestors also moved from the “North” of Russia to a Jewish agricultural colony in the south in about 1840 or 1850. But we do not know where they came from when they went to the south. The name of the Colony was Sahaidak  or Saigaidak just south of Elizavetgrad in Cherson
