Re: Need help in Locating Manifest for Aron Gordon #records

I found the Declaration of Intention (to become a citizen) for Aron Gordon, which is on a separate page than the petition for naturalization: https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/6471831:2280?tid=&pid=&queryId=3445a4cc2a7d2583d8d22a6a4004c3bf&_phsrc=Bbk2056&_phstart=successSource

In the Declaration, Aron Gordon says quite clearly that he was born in Minsk, and that his last residence was Minsk. He says his wife Ida was born in Vilna, though that could mean either the city of Vilnius, or the province of Vilna. Either way, Aron is himself clearly not from Lithuania.

It is possible that it was the St. Louis that Aron traveled on, but not in the year 1905. I've seen too many times where an immigrant does have the correct ship, but the wrong year. I always search year +/1 2 years, at least.

My other suggestion would be to first gather together every US document you can find on this couple, and then try to figure out if or how you are related to them.
