JEWISH HERITAGE OF PHILADELPHIA WITH OSCAR ISRAELOWITZ

The story of the Jewish community of Philadelphia is the story of growth and development of the city from its early days in the 1730s. We will see the Religious Liberty Monument designed by the first American Jewish sculptor, the Synagogue of the Revolution, founded in 1740, and Elfreth’s Alley, site of the oldest continuously-used residential street in the United States and its Jewish residents since the early 1700s, among other historical sites.
