Reading between the lines, it seems to me that these may have been
suicides. The doctors reporting the deaths are careful not to give n
opinion, but booth deaths occurred while no-one ese was present. In
1935, professional men began to lose their clients and were ostracised
by people whom they had thought of as friends. These were men in their
fifties whom one would not have expected to die of natural causes.
However, I agree with Corinne that murder was unlikely.
