I'm using RootsMagic for these purposes. In addition to syncing with Ancestry (both ways), it also compares profiles with MyHeritage and Familysearch and alerts you to possible matches. There's a free version which is not bad and a paid version ($40 IIRC) which has some additional features. Check out the differences on their site.
